LPH Again Holds Mandatory Halal Socialization on Campus
Following up on the circular letter of the Chancellor of UIN Alauddin Makassar Number: 2571/Un.06.1/PP.9/10/2023 concerning the obligation of halal labels on food and beverage products within the scope of UIN Alauddin Makassar.
LPH UIN Alauddin Makassar in collaboration with Darma Wanita UIN Alauddin Makassar, Thursday (11/14/2024), again held a mandatory halal socialization activity within the scope of UIN Alauddin Makassar.
Taking place in the senate room on the 4th floor of the Rectorate Building, Campus 2, Samata Gowa, the event was lively and attended by various elements, starting from the management and members of Darma Wanita, the Business Development Center (P2B), Student Representatives and from Business Actors, both from canteen owners on campus and from business actors domiciled around the UIN Samata campus.
The opening ceremony of this socialization activity was attended by several campus leadership elements such as: Vice Chancellor 2 for General Administration and Financial Planning, Head of SPI, Head of LPM, and several Vice Deans within UIN.
Vice Rector 2, Dr. H. Andi Aderus, Lc., MA in his speech when opening the activity emphasized the need for all canteens within the scope of UIN as well as food and beverages distributed within the scope of UIN to be halal certified.

"The rector's circular regarding the obligation of halal certificates has been around for a long time. Our campus (UINAM) should be a model campus in terms of halal certificates. Therefore, for those who have not had one, please take care of it immediately." He said firmly.
The event sponsored by livin bank Mandiri presented 2 speakers. The first speaker was the Secretary of the Halal Task Force of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of South Sulawesi Province, Mr. H. Muhammad Nur, SE., S.Pd.I, MM who presented material on "Halal Certification Obligation Regulation" while the second speaker was Mr. Dirhamzah, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I who is one of the Sharia HR of the Halal Inspection Institution (LPH) UIN Alauddin Makassar who reviewed material on "The Concept of Halal Haram and MUI Fatwa".
Dr. Cut Muthiadin, M.Si as the head of the Halal Inspection Institute (LPH) of UIN Alauddin Makassar stated that this socialization activity was held to remind all business actors within the scope of UIN to immediately re-apply for halal certificates for their businesses.

"Yes, actually the rector's circular regarding the obligation of halal certification for all business actors at UIN has been around before in 2023 and we have conducted socialization. But because it turns out that there are still some who have not taken care of it until today, that's why today we are again holding socialization activities to remind business actors who have not taken care of it." He said.
