This activity is packaged in the form of halal literacy socialization carried out in schools. The target of this activity is carried out in MI/SD level schools in the Makassar and Gowa areas.

This halal literacy activity targets elementary school students. In this halal literacy activity, LPH will conduct it at 3 different schools in Makassar and Gowa Regency at different times.

According to the Head of LPH UIN Alauddin, this activity was carried out by targeting elementary school children as part of an effort to create a halal ecosystem by introducing information about how to choose and check halal products from an early age.

"We deliberately set this halal literacy socialization activity aimed at elementary school students to introduce halal from an early age," he said.

Furthermore, Mrs. Cut revealed that this activity is still a series of activities in order to support the 2024 Sharia Economic and Financial Month.

The first school visited by LPH UIN Alauddin Makassar was the Athirah Antang Makassar Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT).

This halal literacy socialization activity was carried out on Friday morning, October 10, 2024. In addition to being attended by participants from elementary school students totaling around 60 students, the activity was also attended by parents/guardians of students.

The Head of LPH who was present at the event and also became a resource person revealed that the activity was in the form of providing material packaged in the form of a game where students were guided directly on how to choose and check the halalness of food and beverage products available in the school canteen.

In addition to being attended by the Head of LPH, this activity was also enlivened by the presence of several halal auditors, halal supervisors and a team from LPH UIN Alauddin Makassar who also provided assistance to the participating students.

Mrs. Cut revealed that the same activity (halal literacy) like this will also be held in one of the schools in Gowa and Makassar Districts. (DRH)
